Workspace empty after running script

I teach a class with 30 students using MATLAB Online on identical computers all using Chrome, but I have one student whose workspace is always empty after running a script even though the script runs without errors and produces the correct output files. How is this scenario possible.? She has repeatedly closed and reopened MATLAB Online and it happens every week.

Is it specific to that script or is it all scripts? If she puts a breakpoint at the last line is the workspace already empty and does it disappear immediately upon execution of the last line, or upon return from the script?
Is the content available by whos()? Is it just the variable browser that is affected?
Is there something odd about their username or the name of their directory, such as having an accented character or space in the folder name?

Thanks, Walter. Lots to check. It happens every week and has happened on multiple scripts. When I run her script on my machine, the workspace is populated. I'll ask her to try and check the other items. I've also asked her to run the script on her own computer to see if it happens there as well.

It is my understanding that your student is using MATLAB Online on a chrome browser and while running scripts, the Workspace remains empty.
You can try different troubleshooting steps:
  1. Clear the browser cache and then reload MATLAB Online.
  2. Try another browser to check if the Workspace stays empty there as well.

Thank you so much. I was able to resolve the issue by clearing the browser cache.
