Hello.
I am trying to model a SOFC. Matlab provides some examples, as;
In this example, GDL-Electrode and Membrane are modelled for PEM fuel cells.
Furthermore, i found another module that is;
But i could not understand whether it is just for PEM or not.
I need to calculate the exhaust temperature of a SOFC.
Can you help me ? Thanks

The Fuel Cell block in Simscape technology is focusing mainly on the electrical behaviour of a fuel cell system. With a proper parameterization, can be used as a low-fidelity SOFC. The advantage of this block is that has a thermal port and can be tested using multidomain simulation.
The Fuel Cell Stack block in Specialized Power Systems technology has also present SOFC parameterizations for 3 kW - 100 Vdc and 25 kW - 630 Vdc.

Sabin, thank you for your explanation.
As i understand, there is an example here: Fuel Cell System - MATLAB & Simulink (mathworks.com)
So, when i right click on the pem, i can not look under the mask to see Tafel, nernst etc.
Also, in the description part, there is no "source code" section as it is for the heat transfer block. So i cant see the m codes.
So, the only possibility is to change the variables that is seen when double click on the fuel cell? (Temperature, concentration etc.)
Thank you and best regards.

Hi Sabin, thank you for your explanation.
Is it possible to scale the Simscape PEM Fuel Cell model down to a 100 W system with correct parameterization?
