Image classification Deep Learning on ARM

I have a surface pro 9 with snapdragon chip that has an in-built neural processing unit. I need to perform image classification on that which should be as fast as possible. But currently on surface it is taking way longer than expected. I need matlab to use NPU for the classification. Can it be done?

No, MATLAB has no support for NPU.

There are no plans for NPU.

Mathworks impliments gpu according to demand from experimental Deep Learning work. The demand is currently vastly NVIDIA, followed by IBM. Everything else combined is less than 20% of the market... including Apple Silicon.

It is important to understand that the amount of GPU use for non-Deep Learning is a minor factor in Mathworks decisions.
