problem in workspace using the debugger

Iam facing a problem running the algorithm with the debugger;when i run the algorithm it works but i have a semantic problem trying to figurate out what it is. but wheb i use the debugger there are some inputs in normal workspace that are not recognized by matlab and an error is shown .the program do bot lunch completly and the debugger became useless in this case, So how can i bypass this issue to use the debugger running my program with my inputs in workspace ?
