TMTool/MIDEdit Driver in Simulink

I have written a driver for a serial device using MIDEdit. Is there a way from within simulink to continuously poll the hardware by calling a function defined in the driver?

Currently there isn't any way to call a function defined in the driver file from within a Simulink model.
You might want to consider making a feature request for the same.
