AppDesigner not showig UI-component properties

5 visualizzazioni (ultimi 30 giorni)
HI,
in AppDesigner I can't see the properties of selected components anymore (worked until a few days ago). When I switch to the Callbacks tab everything is fine. Any ideas what could be wrong?
My system is Win 10, Matlab 2023b update 7, latest NVIDIA drivers.
Cheers,
Gebhard

Hi Gebhard,
I guess you have already tried restarting MATLAB and your PC. As I would then not know what the issue could be, I recommend contacting the Technical Support team.
Best wishes,
Harald

Update:
I contacted MATLAB support and they suggested to delete the "AppDesignerMainPanelLayout.json" file in "C:\Users\<User Account Name>\AppData\Roaming\MathWorks\MATLAB\R2023b\". Unfortunately, this didn't work for me. But, I deleted the entire "C:\Users\<User Account Name>\AppData\Roaming\MathWorks\MATLAB\R2023b\" folder which worked.
However, this is quite radical and deletes some of you customizations - so be aware of that.

Thank you for posting the answer that has worked for you.
I am not sure if this is still of help for you, but there might be an in-between: since it is likely just one or two files in the folder that are causing the issue, you can create a copy of the folder, create an empty R2023b folder in that location, and step by step copy over the files from that copy. That way, you will only lose the customizations that actually caused the problem. If it was working until a few days ago, you might even be able to identify the offending file by looking at the "Date modified" of the files in that folder.
Best wishes,
Harald

Yes, I agree, my approach was drastic. Since I don't have too many customizations the relative pain was quite low. I thought about doing the approach you suggested but ultimately didn't want to invest too much time.
So if one has many customizations your approach is definetly the smarter approach.
Best,
Gebhard
