Checking Matlab program is running or not from command window

My Matlab code is running in a computer and it is showing busy. But it is taking long time, therefore I have doubt/confution. Is there any way to check it is running or not from command window. Because now I can not write anything within .m files.

@Sunipa Som,
If you are using Linux, you can run "top" or "ps" to get the list of running processes.
If you are using Windows, you can check the running processes and it's details from Task Manager.
