Discrete optimization

Hi everyone, I've a small doubt in global optimization toolbox, I know GA, Simulated Annealing, etc., solves continuous problems but does it solve discrete optimization problems also? please consider this request

As far as I know it doesn't. Depending on your problem, you might be able to use mixed-integer linear programming (see for example this entry in the File Exchange).
