Is there any way how to optimize a Model (especially Parameters like Friction parameters from the Rotational friction Block) by comparing simulation and real measured signals?

I developed a model that contains a PMSM (with Field Oriented Control) and also Inertia and Belt drive for a real grinding machine.
The results (current and voltage signals) look nearly same as the real measured signals but definitely not identical.
Whenever I change the coefficients or parameters of the rotational friction block, the simulation signals don't look as similar as the real measured ones.
See the following plots of the currents (left are the Model simulation signals and right the measured ones on the real machine) for example:
I just compared them manually by plotting them in one figure. But is there any Tool that can automatically compare real and model simulated signals and optimize the model or give suggestions what to do to get nearly identical signals as the measured one.
Any hints, suggestions or Feedback are much appreciated! Thanks a lot in advance.

I recommend to have a look at Simulink Design Optimization toolbox:
It sounds like you want to do Parameter Estimation:
