How to remove git submodule cleanly?

I used the branch manager, clicked the submodule and selected removed, some operation happened,

The Folder is still present in the project tree, and the submodule name is still there. if i click update it throw an error, :

but the submodule title is still in my branch manager.

Sorted, thanks to chat GPT. best is to use git command directly in the console. Main issue is that one of the submodule git commit was not referenced in the main repo
