Continuous simulink model works fine but not the discrete version of the exact same simulink model, why?

My continuous model works fine and I get a great result out from it. However, when I have discretized the model it stops giving a result, diverges to -inf and sometimes inf, after 1e-3 seconds.

How come the model works great for continuous states but not the discrete states?

It's not obvious to answer your question, since we don't know much about your case, if the discretization was correct or not. The sampling time was well chosen or not, and many other questions we could ask.
