Points located inside of 3-dim region

Hello,

I'm looking for something very similar to the function inpolygon but in 3 dimensions.

in = inpolygon(xq,yq,xv,yv) returns in indicating if the query points specified by xq and yq are inside or on the edge of the polygon area defined by xv and yv.

I need the exact same thing except for x,y and z. So far, I've been unsuccessful in my search for a similar Matlab function but I believe there should be one. Anyone know how to use inpolygon with 3 dimensions instead of 2? Or know another Matlab function that was made for n dimensions?
