Hi:

HEADER_hostid = char(hostid); was working in previous version of MATLAB and it is not recognized in recent version. What command can be used, within matlab macros, to identify the machine id? Best Regards

After choosing the command that applies to your OS (getmac for windows), you can get the results in Matlab using

[status, result] = system('getmac');

You might need to parse desired data out of result.
