Does the native ODBC driver in Database Toolbox support connections to SQL Server 2008 R2?

Hi Adrian.
Yes. Database Toolbox supports connections to SQL Server 2008 R2. Please take a look at the following link:
https://www.mathworks.com/support/requirements/database-toolbox.html
This toolbox was introduced before MATLAB R2006a.
However, please make sure that you have the appropriate database driver installed.
