Is there a rectangular domain decomposition function in MATLAB?

Hello guys,

Is there a rectangular domain decomposition function in MATLAB? For example, decompose a rectangular domain into 4, then into 16, then into 64, etc. I can find something about triangular mesh but not rectangular.
