How to stop the "java.lang​.OutOfMemo​ryError: Java heap space" error?

Hi,

I'm dealing with very big images, and sometimes I use to drag&drop an image into the Workspace to load it as a variable. This time, I did a mistake, dropping the image into the Editor. Since I did this, I get the error that you can see in the attached file. The last row is repeated at regular time intervals, like an infinite loop.

The same happens each time I restart the Matlab. Rebooting the computer has no effect. I also tried to execute this function:

Also this had no effect.

Currently, every time I start the Matlab this error occurs, and I can't use Matlab because it is not able to complete the boot.
