how can analysis structural elements

R/sir i am student of structural engineering and i have to analysis structural buildings, portal frames and all, but i am not getting idea how start and how to use MATLAB so request to you please help me.

Dear Friend You are barking up a wrong tree...asking Structural related questions in MATLAB community. You have to post your MATLAB queries here, then you will get bundle of answers and ideas. Any ways, I suggest you the following.

You may refer to the following books: 1. Dynamics of structures - A. K. Chopra 2. Dynamics of structures - Clough

Both the above books discuss nice algorithms and MATLAB code some times for structural analysis.
