Rotating 3-D Histogram

I was wondering how I could rotate figures from 3-D histogram in matlab such that it would look like the image I posted above:
I want to be able to see the grid with colors, without having to do it manually in the figure window. Thanks

How about:
view(gca,[0 90])
% or
ax = gca;
ax.View = [0 90];

If you're using the histogram2 function set the DisplayStyle property to 'tile'. See the "Tiled Histogram View" example on that page for more information.
