Is the Image Acquisition toolbox a prerequisite for the Image Processing toolbox?

I am planning to start with Matlab. One of my interests would be to use the Image Processing toolbox to do image registration.
Do I need also the Image Acquisition toolbox to import/load the images?

Image Processing Toolbox only requires MATLAB. Take a look at the requirements here. Image Acquisition Toolbox is only required if you want to acquire video frames from a camera or other devices.
