How can I setup efficiently parallel pool for local computation??

I have dual core Intel® Core™ i7-4500U @ 2.40GHz machine. I would like to use parallel computing toolbox, but I don't see any increase of computational speed...

Have you checked in your task manager that your cores are being used? You aren't guaranteed a speed up from parallelisation. It depends entirely on the code you are running.
