How do I implement this function in Matlab ?

Dear all,

I found this term (in attached image) in an equation and i couldn't understand it. it is different from the sum function. Could anyone help me understanding it and find its equivalent in Matlab.

the same problem persits and it doesn't work with 1/sum(k,Y). The problem is that it is a term in a whole fucntion (in attached image)

If the Sigma does not mean the sum operator, its meaning must be explained in the context. Seeing the formula only, it is impossible to guess its meaning. Please examine the surrounding text or the previous equations.

Some terms later a lower case sigma occurres with equivalent indices. So perhaps it is simply a typo confusing upper and lower case.
