Is it possible to find a segmented feature within an intensity-based array?

Hi everyone,

I have a question and hope you may help me out.

Is it possible to find a segmented feature (3D volume) within an 3D intensity-based array (3D array consists only of data points)? And if it is possible, could it also work on different 3D intensity-based arrays (e.g. by estimation)? How would such a code look like?
