Get CPU and memory usage

Hi, I'm developing a pretty demanding GUI in Matlab, so I'd like to check the CPU usage every few minutes. I would like to obtain some CPU performance info just like the one provided by the Windows Task Manager (if it is possible). I've been checking in the forum but couldn't find anything neat. Thanks in advance.
