How to set state space conditions?

Hi everybody,

does anybody know how to set limits for the state variables in a state space model? Basically I would like to set the following conditions:

statevariable1 = min(statevariable1, 10)
dot(statevariable1) = min(dot(statevariable1), 5)

Alternatively, I thought about defining a second state variable, however, the min condition cannot be put into state space form with mutliple entries.

Does anybody know how this can be done?

1. Where are you using your state space model? 2. How are you extracting the initial states of the model?
