I use function "imgradientxy", but I need to know which filter it uses? and the difference between it and the function "imgradient"??

According to the documentation:
doc imgradientxy
the default method is: 'sobel' (default)
While imgradient calculates the gradient for each pixel with magnitude and direction, imgradientxy calculates the gradients in the fixed X and Y directions.
