Need to eliminate Local variables created inside runnable code.

We are working on Autosar compliant simulink model. Using 'External' send and receive for port data access.
When code is generated using EC, it creates a local variable for each inport and outport. for example: real32_T rtb_TmpSignalConversionAtABC, real32_T rtb_TmpSignalConversionAtXYZ
Is there any way to reduce these local data objects?
