Classification Learner negative value predictor variables

Hi all - just starting out with Machine Learning and Classification Learner App. Have imported a two column table (one predictor, one response), but I am unable to select the predictor column as the predictor variable. Is this because this column includes negative values? Any thoughts would be great!
