Help with call .NET

I need to be able to pass several matrices to a .NET object and have it do some manipulation with legacy code and then return the updated matrices to matlab. I can create a .NET method that will return one single value, but I'm clueless for passing more than that back in forth.
Can anyone give me an example (in both VB.NET and Matlab) where I pass two 2x2 matrices, return the modified matrices and a third variable?
