phased.Cus​tomAntenna​Element Import and Interpolate

I have antenna pattern data for my element consisting of a 360-deg azimuth cut (boresight in elevation), and a 180-deg elevation cut (boresight in azimuth). Is there a method to import this data into the phased.CustomAntennaElement and interpolate the response to off-boresight angles? The phased.CustomAntennaElement seems to want the full mesh of angles, but it's fairly common to just get azimuth and elevation cuts like this from a test chamber.

We currently don't support this yet but this is something we want to support in the product. There are many different ways to do this, if you have a particular reference that does what you want, would you mind sharing it with me? Thanks.

One simple method is to multiply (linear) or sum (dB) the az and el responses together to get the response for a particular (az,el).
