Simulink / xPC automatically generated files

Hi folks,
I have always been annoyed by the automatically generated files (from building a model) cluttering up my working folder.
Since my working folder tends to be the current project folder containing my scripts (.m) and simulink diagrams (.mdl), I now have to wade through additional files like *bio.m, *pt.m, *ref.m, *.xml, *.dlm ...
Is there a way to manage this file clutter better? For example in Visual Studio, you would have a separate folder (say Debug) which contain the output of the files generated by the build process, leaving the source folder nice and clean.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

When I'm working with models, I will usually have a LOAD.m file that modifies the addpath. Then put files in selected folders. I will almost always have a \Build folder to run the model, so that \sfprj and mex32 stuff get filed away there.
Just make sure you go to the build folder when you run the model.
