Deep Learning: layer analysis / optimizations

Hello,

I'm new to MATLAB and one of the areas of interest was Deep Learning. I am aware that MATLAB is capable of inporting DL models.

However, I am looking to analyze per-layer characteristics, weights etc

So, what I'm looking for is, after a pre-trained DL model is imported into MATLAB:

1. can each layer be analyzed / edited individually?
2. can per-layer (pre-trained) weights be exported (for further analysis)?
3. can pre-layer weights be imported (say, we modified the pre-trained weights and want to see the effect of this)

It would really help if someone can point me to specific functions / toolbox options etc
