Using Data fit app

I have created a createfit.m by having my curve fit using data fitting app in MATLAB. The MATLAB code file is created as a function. Now if I hit run I get the following error: "Not enough input arguments.

Error in createFit (line 18)

[xData, yData] = prepareCurveData( x, y );"

How can I use my curve fit code which I have generated? I have attached a picture of my code.

Can I know whether x and y is loaded in workspace?
