matlab install error (r2011a on win 7)

Hello, I'm trying to install r2011a on Windows 7, but as soon i double click setup, a shell windows comes and goes instantly. I also navigated bin/win32 for my 32 bit OS, but set up there also do not work. What is the problem? Please help.

The Mathworks offers free support for all installation issues, even for Student versions. Call them.

Are you installing the files from a DVD or did you download the files and possibly store them in a wrong hierarchy? Are the checksums of the files ok?
If these suggestions do not help, contact the technical support.
