marking a pixel on an image

I have found out the center of gravity of an image and want to see its position on the image. I tried using
plot(CentroidX,CentroidY, 'r+', 'MarkerSize', 1, 'LineWidth', 3);
but the range of the x and y axis are wrong. I want the range to be set equal to the dimensions of the image so that i can see the exact postion of the COG as it would be in the image. How can I do that?

You must have done something wrong to the axes direction or something. Here, take a look at this demo and it does just what you want (just copy, paste, and run):

It sounds like you didn't use my code, especially the code line that says
hold on;
If you don't use that then when you call plot, it will blow away your image and show you just the marker. Did you use "hold on"? If not, why not?
