Input shaping to reduce the residual vibrations
Mostra commenti meno recenti
I'm doing a research for my final year which is related to a residual vibration controller for a 3D crane system by using Input shaping techniques, so I wonder how can we make a Input shaper by using Simulink's blocks? How do we convolve initial command with input shaper to generate shaped command? Can someone help me?
Thanks in advance!

Sorry to read this 4 years later. Try using delay blocks. Every delay is an impulse. So, if you're working a ZVD you will need 3 blocks, ZVDD 4 blocks, etc. Multiply the input by the gain you need in every implulse at the moment the delay is applied and you're done.
For sure, Pattabi is already graduated. Anyone else who needs help with this, please do not hesitate to ask. Pioneers of input shaping at GA are usualy too busy to help or retired.
Input shaping is a very powerfull technique, mainly 'cause of its simplicity.

hi i would like some help with the ZVD simulation on matlab am struggling to get the delay blocks to work , essentially i tried multiple STEP output modified each start time etc .... did the sum and got a faster reposnse that PID but it is not the right way to showcase how input shaping works right ?
any help is highly appreciated, thanks
