Identify number of Nodes/Links in a processed Shape File

Hello, I have a processed Shape File for Bartholomew County in INDIANA State USA.The shape file is downloaded using Tiger Shape files

Using Mapshow and shape read function in MATLAB I have a 2-d Road Map for County.

Is there a way I can find all the interconnected nodes within this graph in MATLAB.

Any pointers/guidance for the above problem is appreciated.
