Excel and Matlab on Windows 10

I am trying to do the xlsread command on a windows 10 computer, but it won't even let me access the file let alone my desktop to read this file. I have seriously tried everything and I have an assignment due at midnight. I have even clicked the folder drop down for accessing Matlab files on my computer and it always says error. Please help and thank you in advance

i upload the file, but then when i go to access it, the same folder i upload it to says it isn't there
