Simulink Coder in 2012a creates a model_Start() function how is this enabled?

While recreating some old code using v2012a Simulink Coder the archived generated code includes a "_Start()" function. Loading the original models and recreating the original generated code, the "_Start()" function is not there.
Is there an option flag somewhere in Simulink coder to enable/disable this capability?
