GUI Graphs into Report Generator

I have a GUI in which the user can manipulate data and plot figures. It is easy enough to get variables into base space to give access to report generator to write them into the report, but I am not clear how I would do this for 3 graphs that are generated in the GUI. I have attempted this using 'tag', but still there is no clear linkage to the report from the GUI.
