delay in simulink can i use buffer

how can i get a delay in one input of xor.can i use buffer?how can i connect buffer with xor and counter?when i try to connect buffer at the output of xor and the output of buffer with the reset pin of counter i get red dotted line.how can i avoid it in simulink?

Use a unit delay block

The dotted red line means that those block can not be connected. Which toolbox are you using?

can we connect cmos xor with delay unit or should i use bitwise operator for this purpose.if i connect bitwise operator with delay unit then i don't get red dotted line.how can i have data type double for D latch
