I work at a plastic factory and we manufacturers different type of products such as PVC pipes, PVC fittings, plastic cup, plastic plates and so many other products. Anyway, I am thinking to start a new project which is predictive maintenance for some of machines that always breakdown and I been searching about this for over two weeks. I find out that best software that can help me is MathWorks, but I need help on How and where I can start my predictive maintenance plan?

Your explanation has offered no reason for anyone to expect that learning to use a tool like MATLAB would be a good way to solve your problem.
Yes, you probably do need to spend the time to study the problem, but a simple spreadsheet would be far more effective for this task. What do you need to do immediately? It seems as if your tasks would be
  1. Collect significant amounts of data. Your data need not be at all regular.
  2. Produce some graphics that will show where there are problems.
  3. Compute statistics.
  4. Make simple predictions.
Spreadsheets are great at all of these tasks. Remember that an investment in a tool like MATLAB is more than just the upfront cost. It is the time to learn to use that tool effectively. If you already knew how to use MATLAB and had expertise there, then well, yes. You could use MATLAB to do what you want. But you probably already know how to use a spreadsheet. And that spreadsheet can solve your problems just as well.
Seriously, as much as I am an advocate for MATLAB and love the language, you have not convinced me that you have shown a use case for it on this task.
