How to simulate rotating water sprinkler?

I'm trying to simulate water flow generating by a rotating sprinkler. I mean drawing a graph similar to the way that water drops spread in air.

It could be as scatter point or solid line, moving/real-time plot or fixed one.

Attached are some sample photos of rotating sprinkler to illustrate what I'm looking for.

Any help would be appreciated.
