How do I add controls to an animated plot?

So I have a graph that plots the FFT of a song file over time, and I am having trouble finding a way to stop it while it goes through iterations.
Ideally I would like a slider that can let me scale through the song, showing the FFT at whatever point I choose. Is this possible?
