Hi, does anyone know how to create a flood map on MATLAB (using the mapping toolbox)? I have a NetCDF file which has the coordinates and elevations for the area. I know the volume of water and water depth needed to be applied on the boundary. Assuming there is no drainage, I want to plot a flood map. Does anyone have an example that might be useful for this?

Well there are a couple of resources you can use. Steve Eddins (sp?) wrote a series of posts on upslope-area, and another on determining the continental divide. The upslope area functions are on the file exchange: upslope-area-functions, and there's the topotoolbox that should handle this as well.
