Simulink coverage not performed on Matlab 2015b and 2017b

Hello, I'm having troubles with the coverage of Simulink models both in Matlab 2017b and 2015b despite having Simulink Coverage.

I can't even perform the suggested examples of the Mathworks web documentation, as this and this.

I always receive error messages as:

A fatal error occurred when accessing the coverage tool: cvi.TopModelCov.modelStart (matlab 2017b, or modelTerm in matlab 2015b).

The model coverage option is flagged, and I have followed suggestions about settings. What could I be missing on both Matlab versions? A friend with Matlab 2013b has no problem.
