Problem 60807. Estimating the Range of an Electric Vehicle (EV)
In Electric Vehicles (EVs), the driving range is the estimated distance a vehicle can travel on a fully charged battery. The range (R) can be calculated using the formula:
where:
is the total battery capacity (in kilowatt-hours, kWh)
is the efficiency factor of the EV drivetrain (as a decimal, e.g., 0.9 for 90% efficiency)
is the vehicle’s energy consumption per kilometer (in kWh/km)
- R is the estimated driving range (in kilometers)
Write a function to estimate the driving range of an EV given the battery capacity, efficiency, and energy consumption per kilometer.
