Do you ever had the problem your Files changed to Type Datei (File) after upgrading your MATLAB to a higher Version? I don't know if that's a common thing, but here I provide a little piece of code that will helps you out.
Just run it, select the malnamed files, and the code is doing the rest. It loads your files and rename the filenames and save it back as .mat file
