Virtual lab: Load test on DC Shunt Motor
This virtual laboratory is designed to illustrate the Load Test on a DC Shunt Motor. Follow the steps below to conduct the experiment:
- Click the "Start" button to initiate the experiment.
- Adjust the mechanical load by using switches S1 or S2 in the lab interface.
- Observe the measurement dial for current, voltage, and speed readings.
- Click the "Add Data" button to record the current observations in the table.
- Repeat the process for different mechanical loads and add the corresponding data to the table.
- The table displays efficiency and output power values.
- To visualize the relationship between Output Power and Efficiency, click the "Output Power Vs Efficiency" tab.
- To remove any unwanted data from the table, input the row number and click the "Delete" button.
- Practice connecting components by clicking the "Click Here to Practice the Connection" tab.
Follow these steps to gain insights into the performance of the DC Shunt Motor under varying mechanical loads and analyze the relationship between Output Power and Efficiency.
