The Vine Optimization Algorithm A nature-inspired metaheuristic for engineering optimization

This code proposes a nature-inspired optimization algorithm called the Vine Optimization Algorithm (VOA). Its inspiration comes from the growth, death, and renewal mechanisms demonstrated by vines in the natural world. Growth enables vines to continuously move into unknown areas, the death mechanism prevents energy consumption, and the renewal mechanism optimizes energy utilization. The performance of VOA was validated using three sets of numerical test functions and compared with results obtained from various algorithms. The comparison shows that VOA is highly competitive. Furthermore, we applied VOA to nine practical problems, and the results indicate that VOA can provide superior solutions.
