This Simulink model implements a hybrid wind–solar power conversion system supplying a single-phase AC load. A three-phase wind generator feeds a diode bridge rectifier to produce DC power. In parallel, a solar PV array is connected through a DC–DC boost converter to raise the PV voltage to the common DC-link level.
The rectified wind output and boosted PV output are tied to a shared DC bus, forming a unified hybrid DC source. This DC link then feeds a single-phase full-bridge inverter using unipolar sinusoidal PWM (SPWM) to generate a 230 V, 50 Hz AC output suitable for an isolated load.
An automatic source-selection feature is included: if the inverter output voltage drops below 90% of the 230 V reference, the system seamlessly transfers the load to the grid supply; when the hybrid renewable output recovers above the 90% threshold, the load switches back to renewable operation. This provides simple voltage-based management of renewable availability and ensures uninterrupted power delivery.
